My adata.grf has a lot of files that are already in sdata.grf.

Does anyone know of a tool that can tell me which files are duplicates so that I can remove them?

(Hmm, maybe I should extract them to two separate directories and then find some tool that can compare two directories full of files...)

Theres no tool to compare 2 grfs.
You could just extract data.grf, then sdata.grf (because it contains newer data), and then you pack the data folder with the contents of both grfs in it.

data.grf and sdata.grf are not the files that I'm working with, though.

I'm working with sdata.grf and adata.grf. adata.grf is the file I distribute with my private server, and I realized that there's alot of junk in it (e.g. duplicated sprites) and it's currently 10 MB compressed so I'm trying to clean it up in order to make my download smaller.

You can make a listing of both files and feed that to a diff application.

There are many utilities out there that will compare the contents of directories for you, so your orginal idea to extract both would be the solution you are looking for.

Exactly, then you can used either sdata.grf and adata.grf or data.grf and adata.grf
