Hello ppl, aegis server administrators and fans of aegis!

You still can't see dyes on your precious server?
You tried out FoxDye or Transproxy but with no good result?

I've been writing a new clothing dye client proxy since September 9th with which you can see everybodies clothing dyes on your server!
  • it's compatible with aegis episode 10.4 that is currently used by the animaRO private RO server.
  • it's frequently updated and developed
  • the current version 0.4.0.23 (RC2) is stable
  • does not add lag (except for multi-clienting when your CPU is slow)
  • can be made compatible with your server
Note: it has to be made compatible only if you're using an other client.exe that animaRO

Edit: DyeFire has a new home! I joined the team of the Times of Faith Ragnarok Online Page and will be publishing my files there!

Also check out the thread on animaRO's forum.

Have fun everyone^^

WoW very nice!! I've missed dyes since we update to zone 10.2

I've tested it quickly and works without erros (though I'll like to test it better)

The only thing I dislike is to have the dyefire.exe program oppended while running RO.
Could it be hidden? Or only oppened if 'dyefire.ini' files OpenDebugWindow flag = 1 (just an example)

Very good work anyway!! Think you've helped a lot sharing your work with us.

:blink: ++ for Raziel

Howto use it with other servers:
  • Open 'dyefire.ini' and set your server data:
    [DyeFire]
    ClientExe=YourClientExeName.exe
    Server=ip:port

  • Change 'animaRO.exe.dfp' file to 'YourClientExeName.exe.dfp'
  • Change data/sclientinfo.xml data
  • Get palete sprites to data/palette/...
  • Change bodypalette=1 on a char for testing. OMG I see blue!! ¬3¬

That's a good idea, but since this is still a beta I'll not hide the main window.
Look forward to the release candidates and/or the final! :blink:
I'll also add the ability to display a tray-icon to gain access while it's running.

Will you be open sourcing this, under say the BSD or GPL license?

Thanks for your interest in DyeFire.

But for the time being I'll not open the source.
I'm writing on it almost every day, but I couldn't coordinate another or more developers.
It even got a new home now Times Of Faith.
You know, I've been developing for about 1 month and it would really be strange to reject it right now.
And btw., I don't even have a single documentation comment in the source. ^_^

I'll think about it again once I've reached a "Final" state or don't have the time anymore.
^_^

Of course it is :thrilled: and a major update, too ;P
Just too lazy to post every update here, so go to Times Of Faith more often xD

Haven't updated this thread for a long time, so just wanted to let you know I'm still doing my work.
In the meantime I've released the 2nd release candidate with a lot of new features n stuff so check it out^^
Btw ToFaith is currently under maintance so look in the thread on animaRO's forum for the downloads and other information.
Oh and read the last few pages of the topic where I released a SVN build that fixes a bug when you want to run RO directly with DF. Next version is almost done that includes that fix.

Owing to the welcoming nature of animaRO (with the banner: "Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!" -- Of course i have no clue how!)

May i get an alternate place to check out this fine release from ?
